This is my first attempt at an acrylic painting/portrait, and I hope you like it! I was pretty pleased with how it turned out, although it took me so long to complete! I'm used to just doing sketches, which generally take between twenty and forty minutes, but this painting took me about two months! Hope you think it's worth the time and effort LOL. You'll notice that the sketch below is similar to this painting; they are in fact different variations on the same picture that I used as reference! :)
I did it this drawing by freeze-frame; that is, instead of looking off of a magazine photo, I paused my tape of GH and just referred to the TV screen. Cynthia of course plays the devilish Faith Rosco on General Hospital. This scene is from when Faith came downstairs at Sonny's, wearing Carly's dress. Cynthia is my favourite new actress and ranks right up there with Robin Christopher and Lena Olin IMO. I hope this portrait does her justice!!!!!
